Bookmarked errrr Booktagged

We call it playing "pakaD daav" in Gujarati. That's what's been happening these days - the tagging game. I still have one more from Nova, but until then I decided to do this easier one by Stupidosaur.

How to play:

  1. Pick up the nearest book.
  2. Open to page 123.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the next three sentences.
  5. Tag five people, and acknowledge the person who tagged you.

[picks up the nearest book] The book is maharshi vedvyaas praNit shrimad bhaagawat part I.

(Sorry for those who can't read Gujarati)

[opens to page 123]

[finds the fifth sentence]

[posts the next three sentences]

[tag five people, and acknowledge the person who tagged you]

Tagged: everyone who reads books, which I know is everyone who reads this blog. (I think that's definitely more than five people).
And of course, this taggie acknowledges the tagger.

So all those who read this blog please get to work. :D

Cmon publish those other two tags also, the one with single words and the one with multiple words, and at the end of which you tagged the entire HR department of your company.

Dont deny you have them ready. I happened to see them and even comment on them when you accidentally published them yerterday for a few minutes!

Achchhey hi toh likhey thae!

Oops I clicked on the link to the book tag. And then imagined I was on your blog and not that particular post. So assumed that was the last post on the blog
*goes red and runs to hide away*

@Saur, oh come now, you know it's far from darawney fiction. :P

@Urv, was it really that hi-tech Gujarati? :-?

@Neha, thanks, glad you liked it. :)

@Saur, hahahaha! what a fiasco. :D hota hai hota hai... *bhagyashree ishtyle*

Urv said...

:) Nai.. But have kinda lost touch with Gujju.. So much that it now even feels strange talking in Gujarati! :(

Kanan said...

@Urv, been there done that. Only way I got back was to start speaking in Gujarati. And not just a few words, every single word that you say must be Gujarati. It's very funny in beginning as it's so difficult and sometimes impossible to find Gujarati words for so many English words we use on daily basis. Give it a try if you like. It's fun! :)

Urv said...

Hmm.. hun prayatna karish :)

These are three LONG sentences!

Kanan said...

Aneri, yes they are. :)

Btw, are you Anerimasi or Aneri's masi? ;)

Kanan said...

Urv, bahu saras. amne to jaani ne ghano aanand thayo. :D

(thinking what's the Gujarati of keep up the good work?) :P

arre pan mane to khabar j chhe! uttarottar pragati karta raho evi shubhechchaao sahit.

Kanan said...

Urv, fari vaar vichar karyo to thayu ke kadach "himmate marda to madade khuda" vadhu anuroop laage chhe, nahi?

Stupidosaur said...

"keep up the good work"
....
"Daad devi padshe hon baapu tamney!"
"Rang chhe baapu no!"
?

Or shall we save these till urv actually succeeds?

By the way I called it 'darawney fiction' because they are actually fiction in my honest opinion. Whats darawna is that people actually take them seriously.

Kanan said...

Saur, great Gujarati translations. I like them better than mine. :)

As for the darawna fiction, I still haven't completed reading it for the first time, so can't really tell whether it's fiction or not. Plus, majority of the content that I've read so far seem like examples of people who have gone on the ever-lasting journey of self-search, sort of inspirational story in case one wants to do the same, you know. So in all honesty, I don't mind whether it is really a fiction or not at the end.

It's like you know when you're a kid and mom/dad tell you a bedtime story which ends in "khaadhu pidhu ne raaj karyu" kind of scenario, just this talks about your life (as a human being) ending in a similar peaceful (if you'd like to call it that) scenario.

Often times at the end of the day, I sit and think, what did I do today? Some of the days, the answer is "nothing" meaningful. Then I think okay tomorrow I will try to do something significant so that I can give a satisfactory answer to myself. I wouldn't want to be at the end of my life with a same answer "nothing". It might be too late by then. Let the search continue for the ultimate truth.

OK, that got little too philosophical. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
